It appears that the pessimism of the hotel and restaurant keepers at the Bulgarian seaside and their expectations of a weak season have been blown away by the summer breeze. The resort of Golden Sands has attracted many holidaymakers with reasonable prices and flexible offers. The guests are mainly young people from Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic and the disco clubs are full. Every day the young guests party on the beach and in the aqua parks.

Children`s summer camps will save the holiday season at Bulgaria`s seaside. Teens from Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania have replaced the aging Westerners at the Golden Sands resort. The youngsters eat pizzas, hot dogs and fill the discos to capacity night after night. The resort`s young guests are throwing beach parties and have fun at the aqua parks.

A new eco path from the village of Dolets to the village of Brakanitsa in the region of Turgovishte will be constructed making use of SAPARD funding. The project came to a halt for a period of time but work has started once again. The eco path starts in front of Nezabravka hut and should lead to a Roman fortress. Currently, the eco path has been constructed to the village of Ivancha . Eco path construction is expected to aid the development of rural tourism in the region of Turgovishte .

Air Moldova opens July 4 a regular flight between the capital Chisinau and the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Varna . A group of over 600 Israeli tourists visited Varna on June 24, Darik Radio reported. Tourists arrived aboard via Royal Iris cruise ship. They had an entire day to explore Varna’s landmarks. Royal Iris is one of the 24 cruise lines that will arrive in Varna during 2009. A decrease in the number of booked arrivals has been registered, since in 2008 Varna welcomed 31 cruise ships.

The glass production factory in Beloslav is one of the most visited tourism sites in the region, radio Focus-Varna reported. There, tourists can explore glass production techniques and an exhibition hall related to the industry. Over 8000 people visited the factory in 2008.
