At least 50,000 Swedish ladies will come to sunbathe in Bulgaria this summer. A hundred thousand Swedish tourists visit Bulgaria each year.
`The Scandinavian tourists mostly prefer the resorts at Bulgaria`s northern seaside,` Sweden`s Ambassador to Bulgaria Mr Bertil Roth said yesterday. The ambassador visited Varna and had talks with the city administration.
`There are prospects for an increase in the number of the Swedish guests to our city,` Varna Mayor Kiril Yordanov said appearing from the meeting.

Round 400 children from Moscow schools along with students from Varna`s Secondary School of Arts opened the summer season in Kamchia`s Black Sea resort , from the Standart News informed. The European Football Championship wrecked the summer season. The number of visitors at the Black Sea coast dropped drastically, alarmed Dimitar Dimitrov, branch expert. Most people will prefer to watch their favorite teams live in Austria and Switzerland instead of visiting the Black Sea. This is especially true for Germans. Byala town is preparing to strong tourism season, informed Anastas Trendafilov, mayor of the Black sea municipality. He believes that this summer the resort will welcome more European tourists compared to the previous year. It is also expected growth of the Russian tourists, because they are weakly affected by the current financial crisis worldwide. Trendafilov pointed out that the visa problems continue to get the tourists in difficult positions. There are projects in initial phase for yacht port, but the question is in the quality investors that posses enough financial capacity for the purpose.
