A former military man has found the remains of an ancient deer in the town of Zlataritsa , near Veliko Tarnovo . Yesterday he donated the skeleton to the Pleven museum. The animal probably belongs to the extinct genus of the Giant Deer (Megaceros), Senior Research Officer Ivan Raychev proposed a hypothesis. The animal lay some 3.5 meters below the surface.
