| Firefighters in the northern region of Veliko Tarnovo extinguished Monday about ten fires, the local fire safety service told. Fires were raging in all municipalities in the district of Veliko Tarnovo. The flames engulfed mainly dry grass and bushes. Now firefighters are putting out two fires – one in the region of Veliko Tarnovo and another in the region of Gorna Oryahovitsa. The reason for them is illegal setting of stubble on fire and high temperatures with light wind. |

| The highest temperatures on Tuesday will be taken in Bulgarian town of Ruse. It is expected that the temperatures will reach 39 degrees, National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology with the Bulgarian Academy of Science press centre told.
