| Firefighters in the northern region of Veliko Tarnovo extinguished Monday about ten fires, the local fire safety service told. Fires were raging in all municipalities in the district of Veliko Tarnovo. The flames engulfed mainly dry grass and bushes. Now firefighters are putting out two fires – one in the region of Veliko Tarnovo and another in the region of Gorna Oryahovitsa. The reason for them is illegal setting of stubble on fire and high temperatures with light wind. |

| More than 25 thousand people visited the Ancient Rome festival “Eagle on the Danube”, Svishtov’s mayor, Stanislav Blagoev, said in an interview with FOCUS Radio- Veliko Tarnovo . He added that he is satisfied from what had happened. The festival was organized by a group of enthusiasts who had worked like professionals. Deputy mayor of Svishtov municipality , Plamen Aleksandrov, and the associate professor on economy, Stoyan Prodanov were at the core of the festival. |

| The 112 emergency hotline will be launched in Bulgaria at long last. As of July 3, the line will receive emergency calls from the citizens in 10 districts. At the same time two call centers will start functioning in the capital and in Russe, which will cover Greater Sofia, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Silistra and Razgrad. Till the end of the year the free line should be available for the rest of the towns in Bulgaria, Minister of State Policy for Disasters and Accidents informed yesterday. Meanwhile in the towns of Shumen and Sliven a temporary information center already operates. It receives calls about emergency situations and dispatches them to Civil Protection agency. To make a call people have to dial the respective area code and then 112. |

Daily boat line will link Bulgaria and Romania between the ports of Svishtov and Zimnich. The 200 place cruise ship with huge sunny deck will travel every day, per two times reaching and Romanian coast and going back to Bulgaria. The line started one year ago, working just in the weekends. Over 13,000 passengers pass with this line through the Danube River. The trip costs 5 EUR both directions. |

| An everyday passenger ship line is going to connect the Bulgarian Danube town of Svishtov and the Romanian port of Zimnich.
