| European Union wouldn’t notify a project, for which it has even the least doubt, Minister of Economy and Energy /MEAE/, Dimitar Dimitrov said before journalists on the occasion of the adherents of the Belene Nuclear Factory Coalition protest. On the occasion of the statement that the region where the factory will be build is seismic Dimitrov said: “It is very interesting to me with what kind of seismic devices were used to determine this. | The Bulgarian environment ministry has issued an integrated pollution prevention and control permit to the Pleven district heating utility after the company brought on stream last year a gas-fired turbine. The document certifies that the company is able to meet its greenhouse emissions reduction target. The utility invested some 15 mln euro in the new facility which enabled a cut in heating prices to 63.46 levs/MWh with taxes.
