The cave of Morovitza is located in the Village of Glozhene, near the town of Teteven. Not for from the cave, the famous Glojene monastery, which attracts many tourists, is situated.
Morovitza cave is one of the big caves in Bulgaria - its length reaches 3 250 m, and its depth is as much as 150 m. Many rare and interesting types of bats, inhabiting the cave, have been discovered.
Scientists have also found remains of tools from the late paleolithic era, which have been used by the ancient people, who probably inhabited the cave at that time. The tools are currently stored and exhibited in the historical museum in the town of Teteven.
