After the latest protests outside the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supply on January 16th, Minister Nihat Kabil announced that BGN 21 million had been allotted to assist farmers under the EU’s de minimis regulation. According to Tsakovski the procedure of applying for funding would take too much time. “Next week most probably we will walk to Sofia together with our animals,” he said.
