| Environment and Water Minister Djevdet Chakurov attended on Tuesday the ground-breaking ceremonies for the construction of waste water treatment plants in Lovech and Sevlievo (both in Northern Bulgaria). The Lovech plant is worth 9.443 million euro and the Sevlievo plant 13,987,623 euro. PFC Litex Lovech has won for the third time the Bulgaria Cup by beating Cherno More 1-0. Litex`s young player Stanislav Manolev scored the only goal in the match in the 57th minute after a good pass by Tom. Although Litex was said to be the favourite in the match, Cherno More played equally well and the team from Varna had all the chances to reach to the victory. Miroslav Manolov from Cherno More and Tom from Litex were the best players in the match, often seen in goal positions. | The world famous Swedish pop band Ace of Base sang Bulgarian folk songs from the region of Pirin Mountains at the festival in Lovech, northern Bulgaria. They did best with a song that was specially arranged for foreigners recorded in a DVD karaoke, a gift from the Standart. "We have wonderful folklore as well that we can turn into hits one day with a more modern sound," said the vocals, Jenny. The Standart also presented them with bottles of the fine wines by Vini Sliven. Jenny is in Lovech with her one-year-old daughter and her father. |
