Hotelkeepers managed to ensure high occupancy rate for the forthcoming ski season . A new eco path will connect the region of Gradishte to the Gabrovo region village of Kmetovtsi, Darik Radio reported. The overall length of the path is 6 km. The path is marked and information boards provide visitors with facts about the region. Tourists will get the chance to explore the villages of Orlovtsi, Ovoshtartsi and Kalchovtsi. The eco path’s level of difficulty is low. Tourists can also make use of specially designed rest spots.

The architecture preserve of Bozhentsi has a new tourism information center, Darik Radio reported. Bozhentsi’s information center acquaints visitors with museums in the village, as well as with the various accommodation opportunities. Despite the ideal conditions for skiing in Bulgarian winter resorts, the number of foreign tourists is going down. The number of foreign holiday-makers has decreased by 15,000 compared to the same period of 2008, sources from Plovdiv Airport informed. Last year some 60,000 tourists used the service of the airport. The tourists show bigger interest in Bansko winter resort where their number now is 15,000 people.
