| The Bulgarian ant-trust authority has cleared the acquisition of Varna-based supermarket chain Burlex 104 by local peer CBA Asset Management. The two companies signed the relevant agreement in early Feb. The Burlex deal would add 11 outlets to the CBA network in North-eastern Bulgaria, bringing their total to 28. CBA AM comprises subsidiaries in Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse and Gabrovo. It recently entered the Sofia market with a supermarket in the Svoboda residential district. |

A 75-year-old patient died on spot after he jumped off the tenth floor of a hospital in Bulgaria`s town of Gabrovo on Saturday. The man was taken to the urology ward and was to be discharged in a day after undergoing a surgery, doctors reported. Eyewitnesses said the victim was sitting at a table next to the window when suddenly stepped over the sill and jumped. None of the patients in the room could react in time and save the elderly man`s life. According to relatives of the victim, he had no psychical problems. |

| A 16-year-old girl from Gabrovo city got killed during a heavy car crash two hours ago on the road Gabrovo – Sevlievo, newsman from Radio ‘FOCUS’- Veliko Tarnovo reported. The accident happened at the entrance to Popovtsi village situated between the two cities. The driver of the car is 21-year-old boy, also in danger for his life. The Police reported that the two youth were driving with extremely fast speed and after a dangerous road bend the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. |
