Travel: Preserve of Bozhentsi has a new tourism information center

The architecture preserve of Bozhentsi has a new tourism information center, Darik Radio reported. Bozhentsi’s information center acquaints visitors with museums in the village, as well as with the various accommodation opportunities. The interest of foreign tourists in the preserve increased recently, Bojentsi manager Dora Stefanova said. The village has 105 houses, some of which dating back to the 17th to 19th centuries.

The village of Skortsite (The Starlings) is virtually submerged in the curvaceous slopes of the Balkan Range. Though it is just seven kilometers away from the town of Tryavna , it is a haven almost untouched by the woes of the dynamic 21 c. Cars are nowhere to be seen. Pubs, hotels and even people are absent either. In fact the village has not a single permanent resident. Most of its houses have been abandoned, and even tourists tend to bypass Skortsite .
